Bun Dac Biet (menu #70) is Lê La's house-special vermicelli — the dish we are named after, and a true crowd-pleaser. Each bowl starts with chilled rice vermicelli noodles, then we pile on a deluxe combination of grilled meats and toppings so every bite hits a different note: smoky char, fresh crunch, savoury sweetness. It is the bowl to order when you cannot decide which of our grilled vermicelli plates to try.
Like every vermicelli dish on our menu, the Lê La Special is served with shredded lettuce, cucumber, bean sprouts, fresh herbs, pickled carrot and crushed peanuts, with a side of nuoc cham to pour over at the table. The combination of textures and the freshness of the toppings is what makes this bowl feel so satisfying — light enough for a weekday lunch near Chinook Centre, generous enough for a hearty dinner.
